2015
Big things have small beginnings...
February 10, 2015 Global Coin Solutions was incorporated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our goals then were to help as many charities as we could and to put people to work ... and they haven't changed today.
Expanding the Canadian Market
Global Coin Solutions started immediately providing services to the Air Canada Foundation, Air Transat, and Travelex in Canada. This included handling the logistics of their programs, sorting, processing, and repatriating their foreign currency all in support of their charity programs.
2016
GCS - A Change for Good partner
Supported by Travelex, Global Coin Solutions won the UNICEF Change for Good contract, working with American Airlines and supporting the donations sent into the UNICEF office in NYC.
2017
It pays to do the right thing
In 2017 Global Coin Solutions surpassed $2.0 Million in processed value for charities and businesses throughout Canada and North America for the first time.
2018
The GCS model continues to grow
Only a year later, Global Coin Solutions increased its processed value on behalf of charities and businesses throughout Canada and North America by nearly 50%,
to just under $3.0M.
2019
Making inroads in the industry
In 2019, our Founder and President spoke for the second time at the Coin Conference; the only international event focused on circulation coin.
2020
Covid-19 and Charity needs
Despite massive challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic, GCS's business model allowed it to continue servicing charities around the world - offering critical and timely support when many needed it most.
2021
Helping from a world over
GCS began working directly with the private sector - offering its services to companies around the world.
2022
Who knows fundraising better?
Global Coin Solutions, in partnership with a dozen Children’s Aid Foundations across Ontario, launched Currency for Kids.
2023
Business growth starts with understanding
Global Coin Solutions and our Founder & President participated in the Team Canada Trade Mission to Japan, exploring the opportunity of opening an overseas office in person.

2024
Big things to come
In 2024, Global Coin Solutions opened our first international office in Tokyo, Japan - expanding not only our global footprint, but also our services to include comprehensive logistics and cash management solutions to charities and businesses around the world.

Global Coin Solutions has created a second logo, one that puts the emphasis on helping others. The GCS charity logo represents both the work that we do, and the impact we intend to have on not only the charities we work with, but the world.
