Since 2015, we have processed over $13.0 Million in mixed currency for charity
Any charity can create a foreign currency fundraising program. In fact, charities around the world have been doing this for decades, raising Millions and Millions in donations (we'd be happy to show you examples).
This has never taken off in North America.
Any coin box program can easily modify their program to include #AllCurrencyAccepted.
All food banks accept donations in cash ... why not accept donations in any currency as well?
Any charity could include a mailing address asking their supporters to send in foreign currency (or send it the charity c/o GCS and save the step of having to move it again).
The options are almost limitless!
There are many digital fundraising options out there, but none of them are at no cost to the charity. GCS's QR code program has no sign up cost and no monthly charges.
And it does not require an app either!
We simply create a QR code for your program which takes the donor to a custom mobile web page where they can pay using ApplePay, GooglePay, or credit card.
“I tried the QR code and made my donation. It was so easy!”
Did you know?
The Canadian quarter is the same size as at least a dozen other coins from many different countries including: the U.S., Panama, the Eastern Caribbean currency, and the U.K..
Any organization that handles any quantity of coin is going to get foreign coin mixed in with Canadian coin.
In the case of the USD quarter, if you don't pull it out and have it returned to the U.S., you are losing a significant amount of exchange value.
GCS can help you with that without any cost to your organization. By charging a percentage of the coin processed to cover our fees, we won't send you an invoice for the work AND you will be able to realize the value of the exchange.
